A Helping Hand

In numerous developing countries, “The Christian Church” is comprehensively active in mission work. The humanitarian work of support reaches from practical assistance to help with hunger. The mission work in Africa extends from Cameroun to Kenya and from South Africa to Egypt. We receive feedback from thankful people who have received relief through this work. In the midst of their material need, many people have a desire for the message we can find in God’s word. There is help for poor and rich, for sick and healthy people. Through the gospel Jesus Christ came with, we experience a way out of and a saving hand in all of life’s areas, out of the troubles of sin to a clear and joyously hopeful vision.

Also in South America in the middle of the Amazon region, we have a mission station from which many people have received help. A church has developed there which is happy about God’s word. In the midst of their poor living situations, they have received help for themselves and their families. Through this, they can be of help in their area according to this motto:

“And so, my fellow American citizens: Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. Fellow citizens of the world: Ask not what America can do for you; rather ask what we together can do for the freedom of people.” Inaugurations Speech on the 20th of January 1961 from John F. Kennedy (1917-1963)

We have numerous experiences where people seeking help in their sickness and need have turned to us. During the conferences in Brunstad, prayer requests reach us with needs from all over the world which we enclose in our prayers. In His goodness, God often intervenes and helps exactly these people, for which we are very thankful.

Mission work on all Continents brings rich fruits

Although our resources are limited, we give what we can. And that is, to a special extent, personal visits in these areas and with God’s word that has helped us in mission work. Through this comes blessing and strength, a desire to work and zeal to find our way in often modest living situations, and to lead a life that conveys a heavenly atmosphere.

We stand in respect of such people who have made it their task to ask what they can do for their country and for their family.
